An opportunity has become available for a Sous Chef to join this busy Pub near in Coniston, Cumbria.
A popular establishment for guests enjoying food and drinks, offering good hearty traditional British Pub grub.
As Sous Chef you will be working within a team of 3 Chefs, Supporting the Head Chef with the daily operations in the kitchen. With a very busy evening and weekend trade you must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.
This position is a minimum of 6 months, with the potential to lead to a permanent position.
What we need from you?

– Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
– Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
– Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
– Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
– Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
