Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining a smooth workflow
  • Oversee stock management, ordering, and inventory control
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Assist with menu planning, offering creative input
  • Train and mentor junior chefs, encouraging their development
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of seasonal ingredients and modern British cuisine
  • Passionate about cooking with fresh, local produce
  • Able to lead and inspire a team, especially in a busy kitchen environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards
  • A positive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding food and service
