Chefs Recruitment is an Employment and Recruitment Agency which primarily involves helping candidates find a new job role, and clients fill their vacancies. In order for us to do this, we must collect and sort your data in order for to make and informed decision on a candidate’s suitability for a role.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register with us, this includes:

-Information such as your name, address, email address and contact details. 

-Your CV including details of your qualifications, skills, employment history and contact details of past employees to obtain references. 

-Information including evidence of your right to work in the UK, either passport, photo Id, birth certificate and National Insurance Number. 

Who is collecting it?

The data is being collected by Chefs Recruitment and stored on a secure company software. This can be collected from job applications from our advertised roles or indirectly through referrals. We also collect data from both publicly available databases of candidates who have listed their CV for viewing by agencies and employers or from password protected databases which we subscribe to in order to access candidate data.  Where consent has not been given and we are in receipt of data, this will not be used in any way and be deleted from all platforms that they have been received onto, within 30 days.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to manage your data in order for us to:

-Keep you informed of any suitable employment opportunities.

-Update you about our service and news.

-Help us improve our service.

-Analyse and improve the operation of our website.

Who will your information be shared with?

Information may be passed on to prospective employers for the purpose of recruitment. 

We may legally be required to disclose your details if required to by the police for regulatory reasons.  We will only pass on your details to any other third party if we have your consent.

Access to your information

You can request access, modify or delete your personal information at any time by emailing your request to [email protected]. Or alternatively you can long into your candidate portal and amend your details.

How long do we keep your data?
We will hold your details on our file for as long as you are in any employment or deemed to be employable. Upon request, we will provide you with all of the data that we hold on you. Please email the Data Officer listed below for this information.
